FOW SUPPORT TO WASATCH MOUNTAIN STATE PARK
Through membership dues, donations, and fund raising, FOW
provides full or partial funding for selected projects and park events. The Park may also receive grants, state, and other funding.
The following are the current project to which our fund raising will be directed.
The Deer Creek Trailhead & Chalet are prominent areas in the Park. This project will honor the 100+ year-old black willows that were removed and create an interpretive learning environment for year-around enjoyment by the Heber Valley community and visitors. The black willows’ trunks/large branches will be turned into signage, benches, a center”peace” at the new campground, “cookie stepping stones”, and other ways to preserve the history and story of the trees.
